Job Summary
The Accountant – Transactions is responsible for accurately recording, verifying, and maintaining all financial transactions of the transport company. The role ensures timely processing of receipts, payments, invoices, expenses, and bank transactions while maintaining proper accounting records and supporting financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Record daily financial transactions in the accounting system.
- Process customer receipts, supplier payments, and journal entries.
- Verify and post invoices, expense claims, and payment vouchers.
- Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable records.
- Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash transactions.
- Track fuel, toll, maintenance, and other transport-related expenses.
- Ensure proper documentation and filing of all financial transactions.
- Assist in GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance documentation.
- Support monthly,
quarterly, and annual account closing activities.
- Assist auditors and management with financial records and reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Commerce, or Finance.
- 2–5 years of accounting experience.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
- Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
