A Night Shift Receptionist in the hotel industry is responsible for managing the front desk operations during night hours, usually from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM or 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. This role ensures smooth hotel operations, guest assistance, and security during the night.
Key Responsibilities
- Guest Check-in & Check-out
- Welcome guests arriving late at night.
- Process check-ins and early morning check-outs.
- Verify guest identification and booking details.
- Front Desk Operations
- Answer phone calls and handle guest inquiries.
- Manage room reservations and updates in the system.
- Provide information about hotel services and facilities.
- Night Audit
- Verify daily financial transactions.
- Balance accounts and prepare daily reports.
- Close the day in the hotel management system.
- Guest Support
- Handle guest complaints and requests.
- Arrange wake-up calls and taxi bookings if required.
- Security Monitoring
- Monitor CCTV and ensure guest safety.
- Control late-night visitor entry.
- Administrative Tasks
- Prepare reports for morning management.
- Maintain records of guests and payments.
Skills Required
- Positive communication skills
- Basic computer knowledge (PMS software like Opera, IDS, etc.)
- Customer service skills
- Ability to work independently
- Problem-solving skills
Qualification
- Any Degree / Diploma in Hotel Management preferred.
- Freshers or 1–2 years experience in front office.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Fresher
Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
