EthicalHat is seeking an experienced Fortinet Next-Generation Firewall (NGFW) Consultant to support security operations, firewall administration, and customer projects. This is a fully remote role ideal for cybersecurity professionals looking for a flexible consulting engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, and manage Fortinet FortiGate firewalls.
- Implement and maintain firewall policies, NAT, VPNs (IPSec/SSL), and security profiles.
- Perform firewall health checks, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
- Monitor and optimize network security posture.
- Support incident response and security investigations related to network security.
- Conduct firewall rule reviews and security assessments.
- Work with clients to design and implement secure network architectures.
- Prepare technical documentation and implementation reports.
- Collaborate with internal security and infrastructure teams.
Required Skills & Experience
- Hands-on experience with Fortinet FortiGate NGFW administration.
- Strong understanding of routing, switching, TCP/IP, VPNs, and network security concepts.
- Experience with firewall policy management, IPS, Web Filtering, Application Control, and Anti-Malware features.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex network and security issues.
- Experience with FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer is preferred.
- Relevant Fortinet certifications (NSE/FCP/FCSS) are highly desirable.
