Company Description The Smart Building Laboratory at the Mechanical Engineering Department, BITS Pilani, Pilani Campus, is dedicated to advanced research in sustainable and energy-effective building technologies. Role Description

This full time, in office Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) position is based at the Pilani campus as part of the INDEE3 Indo-Norwegian project on Sustainable and Clean Cooling. The JRF will conduct experimental and computational research on sustainable cooling technologies, analyze data, and prepare technical documentation. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, the selected candidate will also contribute to academic publications and assist in laboratory activities.





This role provides an opportunity to work on impactful research in sustainability and energy efficiency while contributing to cutting-edge advancements in cooling technologies, attend conferences in India and abroad. Selected candidate is expected to work for his/her PhD degree with BITS Pilani along with the JRF. Stipend @40,000/- pm.

Qualifications
Knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics.
Experience in experimental setups, data analysis, and computational tools such as MATLAB, ANSYS, EES or similar software.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret scientific data effectively.
Proficiency in report writing, documentation, and academic publishing.
Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-institute, multi-cultural team.
Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Energy Systems, or a related field (Candidates with exceptional undergraduate research experience may also be considered).
Familiarity with Natural Refrigerant based cooling technologies and prior research experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
