Plumber (Residential Projects)

Job Purpose To execute and maintain plumbing systems for residential projects, including villas, apartments, gated communities, and residential townships. The role involves carrying out current plumbing installations, repairs, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting activities while ensuring quality workmanship, timely completion, and compliance with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

New Plumbing Works

- Execute plumbing installations as per approved drawings and project specifications.

- Install water supply, drainage, sewage, and rainwater harvesting systems for residential buildings.

- Lay and connect internal and external plumbing pipelines.

- Install sanitary fixtures, faucets, water closets, wash basins, sinks, showers, and water heaters.

- Carry out underground and overhead water line installations.

- Coordinate with civil and electrical teams during project execution.

- Ensure completion of plumbing works within project timelines.

Maintenance Activities

- Attend and resolve plumbing complaints from residents.

- Repair leakages in pipelines, valves, taps, sanitary fixtures, and fittings.

- Clear blockages in drainage and sewage lines.

- Inspect and maintain overhead tanks, underground sumps, pumps, and water distribution systems.

- Perform preventive maintenance to minimize plumbing breakdowns.

- Monitor water usage systems and identify opportunities to reduce wastage.

Quality & Inspection

- Conduct testing of plumbing lines and fixtures before handover.





- Verify installations for compliance with approved drawings and specifications.

- Ensure proper functioning of all plumbing systems during project handover.

- Report defects, material shortages, and technical issues to supervisors.

Safety & Housekeeping

- Follow all site safety procedures and use required PPE.

- Maintain cleanliness of work areas and ensure proper storage of tools and materials.

- Report unsafe conditions and take corrective actions as required.

Skills & Competencies

- Strong knowledge of residential plumbing systems and installation practices.

- Ability to read and interpret plumbing drawings and layouts.

- Knowledge of CPVC, UPVC, HDPE, and PVC piping systems.

- Good troubleshooting and repair skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a project team.

- Basic understanding of water pumps, tanks, and residential utility systems.

Educational Qualification

- ITI in Plumbing / Pipe Fitting or equivalent trade certification.

Experience

- 5–8 years of experience in residential apartment, villa, township, or gated community projects.

- Experience in both project execution and maintenance activities is preferred.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- Experience in residential apartments, villas, gated communities, and housing projects.

- Hands-on experience in both new construction plumbing works and post-handover maintenance.

- Ability to independently diagnose and rectify plumbing issues with minimal supervision.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
