Position
Senior Engineer – Project Design Engineering
Location
Ambala, Haryana
Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering (Regular) from a reputed institute/university.
Experience
- Minimum 07 Years in Project Design & Engineering where a complete solution like Seed/Grain Processing Plants/Silos etc. is designed with the help of various machines, accessories & linkages.
- Experience in Seed Processing Plants, Grain Processing Plants, Silos, Conveying Systems, Bulk Material Handling Equipment, or similar industries will be preferred.
Software Skills
- SolidWorks
- AutoCAD
- MS Office
- ERP Software
- Basic knowledge of engineering analysis and design tools
Compensation Best in the industry, commensurate with experience and capability.
Key Responsibilities
- Study customer requirements, process specifications and prepare optimum engineering solutions.
- Prepare General Arrangement (GA) drawings, plant layouts, Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs),
and detailed engineering drawings.
- Perform engineering calculations related to equipment sizing, structural adequacy, load analysis, flow analysis and system performance.
- Develop and review 2D and 3D models using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Design and optimize support structures, platforms, walkways and interconnecting equipment.
- Coordinate with production, procurement, project execution and installation teams for smooth project implementation.
- Interface with customers, consultants and vendors for technical discussions and design clarifications.
- Participate in design reviews and implement value engineering and cost optimization initiatives.
- Prepare technical proposals, engineering documents, BOMs and manufacturing drawings.
- Resolve manufacturing and installation issues by providing engineering support.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable standards and best engineering practices.
- Monitor project progress and report status to management.
Desired Profile
- Solid knowledge of bulk material handling systems such as Bucket Elevators, Chain Conveyors, Belt Conveyors, Screw Conveyors, Dump Hoppers and Storage Silos.
- Understanding of seed and grain processing equipment and plant layouts.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to independently handle projects from concept to commissioning.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Customer-focused approach with a commitment to quality and timely execution.
