About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Android Developer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience building scalable, high-performance Android applications and a strong understanding of modern mobile architectures, design patterns, and development best practices. This role requires technical leadership, hands-on coding expertise, and the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

Android Application Development

- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade Android applications using Kotlin and Java.
- Architect and implement scalable, maintainable, and reusable mobile solutions.
- Drive adoption of modern Android development practices, including MVVM, MVI, and Clean Architecture.
- Develop modular and component-based applications to improve scalability and maintainability.
- Integrate RESTful APIs, GraphQL services, and third-party SDKs.
- Ensure application performance, responsiveness, stability, and efficient memory management.

Technical Leadership

- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level developers.
- Participate in architecture reviews, design discussions, and technology evaluations.
- Establish coding standards, best practices, and development processes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Quality Engineering

- Write clean, maintainable, testable, and well-documented code.
- Implement comprehensive testing strategies, including Unit Testing, UI Testing, Integration Testing, and Automation Testing.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to quality standards.




- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, crashes, and stability issues.

CI/CD & Release Management

- Manage and improve CI/CD pipelines for Android applications.
- Oversee application releases, deployments, and version management through Google Play Store.
- Monitor production applications using analytics, crash reporting, and performance monitoring tools.

User Experience & Security

- Collaborate closely with Product, UX/UI, QA, and Backend teams to deliver exceptional user experiences.
- Implement accessibility, localization, and mobile-first design principles.
- Ensure application security through secure coding practices, data encryption, authentication, and authorization mechanisms.

Required Technical Skills

Core Android Development

- Strong expertise in Kotlin and Java.
- Deep understanding of Android SDK and Android application lifecycle.
- Extensive experience with Android Jetpack Components:
- ViewModel
- LiveData / StateFlow / Flow
- Room Database
- Navigation Component
- Paging Library
- WorkManager

Architecture & Design

- Strong understanding of:
- MVVM
- MVI
- Clean Architecture
- SOLID Principles
- Design Patterns (Singleton, Builder, Observer, Repository, Adapter, Factory)

UI Development

- Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose.
- Strong understanding of Material Design guidelines.




- Experience building responsive and adaptive UI across multiple screen sizes.

Dependency Injection

- Expertise with Dagger, Hilt, or Koin.

Networking & Data Management

- Experience with Retrofit, OkHttp, GraphQL, and JSON parsing.
- Knowledge of offline-first architecture and local data persistence.

Performance & Security

- Experience in performance optimization, memory management, and app profiling.
- Strong understanding of mobile security, encryption, secure storage, and API security.

DevOps & Tools

- Android Studio, Gradle, Git, GitFlow.
- CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Bitrise, or similar.
- Firebase Suite (Crashlytics, Analytics, Remote Config, Cloud Messaging).

Testing

- Unit Testing using JUnit and Mockito.
- UI Testing using Espresso and Compose Testing Framework.
- Test-driven development and automation best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Experience leading mobile development initiatives and mentoring engineering teams.
- Exposure to multi-module architecture and large-scale enterprise applications.
- Knowledge of Android app publishing, release management, and store compliance requirements.
