Job Summary

n this role, you will use 2-D/3-D computer-aided design (CAD) to develop designs for Plant Design Piping (PDP) engineering systems such as earthwork, drainage, road design, and foundation. You will help construct detailed scale models, develop work plans, and review drawings for quality, accuracy, and completion. Your collaboration across disciplines will help ensure PDP design quality and compliance.

Major Responsibilities

- Assists in the development of designs for PDP engineering systems such as earthwork, drainage, road design, foundation, and steel detailing with minimum supervision from which detailed scale models and/or construction drawings are completed
- Assists in constructing detailed scale models
- Ensures compliance with approved PDP design standards in own work and by those assigned, to provide quality design
- Coordinates the reviews for the accuracy of bulk material quantity take-offs and material requisitions for materials applicable to the discipline
- Assists in the development of work plans, budgets,



and schedules for basic PDP designer tasks based on input and direction from supervisor in designated discipline
- Provides on-the-job training for personnel within PDP design
- Generates 2D drawings or 3D Computer Aided Design (CAD) design models with minimal guidance from others
- Ensures PDP systems designs comply with all applicable installation codes, regulations, and standards

Education and Experience Requirements

- University Hire with lessthan 1 year of experience or 4-5years of relevant work experience

Required Knowledge and Skills

- What are the most key knowledge and skills (includes technical skills) that are needed UPON ENTRY to do the job successfully
- What 3 to 5 KEY factors (ex. prior experience) should be used to determine qualification for the position
