Position Summary:
He/she supports SOS Youth Boys in leading Independent life. He/she contributes to overall development & settlement of Youths.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides a secure and safe environment for each youth where they do not need to fear punitive, damaging punishment
- Participate actively in the transition process of the youth from the SOS Youth Facility to Hostel / PG / rented accommodation.
- Supports the training of household skills to enable the youth to autonomously keep a secure, hygienic and homely living environment
- Demonstrates initiative in order to maximize each youths achievement potential; Encourages the young people in taking on responsibility for their decisions, life and career .
- Takes an active participative interest in each youths school life and extra-curricular activities
- Responsible for academic performance of youth in Higher education
- Preparing annual development plan for each youth in consultation and discussion with the Village Director, Mother and youth
- Organize programs for the youth like personality development, living skills, sex education, English Speaking, Preparing resume, Mock Interviews etc.
- Responsible to visit College/Hostels/PG and meet every youth and their teacher.
- Function as a good guide to the youth in their all-round growth and development.
- Maintain a strong and healthy relationship with the youth and involve them in decision making related to their education, career and settlement.
- Ensure implementation of Child & Youth Safeguarding Policy
- Support in settling of young people and continuing relationships.
- Support in locating employment and liaison with employers
- Lead process of arranging marriages together with mothers and coworkers
- Plan and implement systems for continuing relations of the youth.
- Ensure Timely action in payments of fees (College / PG rent / Fooding/ Stationary / Clothing / Medicals / Travels etc) and other financial transactions for Youths.
- Support to Village Director in the area of Administration and Management of the SOS Childrens Village. And in absence of a Youth Co Worker (residential), take responsibility of youth house children in the interest of program.
- To play a key role in building partnerships with other NGOs and Agencies

Child and Youth Safeguarding Commitment:
The incumbent must commit to the organization's Child and Youth Safeguarding Policy and ensure its implementation in all aspects and activities.
- Ensure implementation of child and youth safeguarding policies and protocols.
- Organize regular sensitization workshops on topics such as cyber safety, substance abuse, and healthy relationships.
- Monitor compliance of youth homes and staff with safeguarding standards.
- Promote an open and supportive environment for reporting concerns or violations.
- Ensure periodic training for youth and staff on safeguarding practices and legal rights.

Working conditions
- Posted in Children’s Village as a non- residential coworker to support the youth program. Travel as and when required.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education:
- Master's degree in a field with relevance to the position such as behavioral science, psychology, social work, sociology, organization development, training or business administration.
Experience:
4-6 years of experience in the relevant field.
Languages:
Excellent communication skills (English / Hindi). Proficiency in 1-2 regional languages will be an advantage. Must have significant and proven human, writing, presentation and people management skills.
