Job Description: A Tally Operator in an electrical showroom manages daily financial transactions, billing, and inventory using Tally ERP/Prime. They are responsible for processing sales/purchase invoices, maintaining accurate stock records for electrical goods, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with GST and taxation regulations. - Billing & Invoicing: Generate accurate sales invoices, cash memos, and e-way bills for walk-in customers and bulk electrical contractor orders. [1]
- Inventory & Stock Management: Update daily stock inward (Goods Receipt Notes) and outward movements in Tally to ensure physical stock matches the software. [1, 2]
- Data Entry & Bookkeeping: Record daily financial transactions including cash/digital payments, receipts, petty cash expenses, and vendor purchases. [1, 2]
- Account Reconciliation: Match daily sales reports against cash registers and digital payment settlements to resolve discrepancies. [1, 2, 3]
- Tax Compliance:



Calculate and manage applicable taxes like GST on electrical components and prepare summaries for regular tax filings. [1, 2]
- Report Generation: Provide management with periodic financial and operational reports, such as daily sales summaries, stock level alerts, and profit/loss statements. [1, 2]

Key Qualifications & Skills

- Education: Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com), Finance, or a related field (12th pass may be accepted for entry-level roles with Tally certification).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Tally ERP 9 / TallyPrime and working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
