Job Description: An Accountant for a steel manufacturing company manages daily financial operations, including raw material procurement, inventory valuation (FIFO/weighted average), and cost analysis. Key duties include ensuring GST/TDS compliance, managing AP/AR, and preparing monthly MIS/financial reports using Tally or SAP. Key Responsibilities

- Cost Accounting & Inventory: Manage, analyze, and report on costs associated with production, including raw materials (scrap, iron ore, coal), work-in-progress, and finished goods (TMT bars, structural steel).
- Financial Reporting & Compliance: Prepare, analyze, and maintain accurate financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L;, Cash Flow). Ensure strict compliance with GST, TDS, and other statutory regulations.
- Bookkeeping & Transactions: Maintain daily ledgers, including sales, purchases, bank reconciliations, and vendor bill processing.




- Budgeting & Analysis: Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and identifying cost-saving measures to improve efficiency.
- Audit Support: Coordinate with internal and external auditors for statutory audits.

Required Candidate Profile

- Education: B.Com required; CA/ICWA (CMA) or M.Com preferred.
- Experience: 2-3 years in the steel industry or manufacturing sector.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Tally ERP/SAP, MS Excel, and strong knowledge of GST.
- Key Competencies: Solid analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail.
