Job Title: Marine Accounting Manager, Port DA (m/f/d)

Overview

To strengthen our local team in Mumbai, we are looking for a Marine Accounting Manager, Port DA

Essential Functions:

Being the link between the commercial department and the bookkeeping, you are the point of contact and will assist in handling small accounting and general Port DA related claims

- Work independently in own workscope, whilst being part of and integrating into an international team
- Checking, approving and balancing the incoming Disbursement Accounts (DA’s)
- Registration of incoming DA‘s and separate invoices
- Final settling of statements of accounts
- Individual care for principle Agent’s
- Providing port tariff information
- Working with our Software applications
- Cooperating with bookkeeping, port operations and operations department




- Communicate and liaise closely with internal (operations, port d/a, bookkeeping) counterparts
- Working with our Software applications (Veson, Sedna – pre-knowledge desired but mandatory)

Skill Requirements:

- Ideally you have a background in shipping, forwarding, logistics or accounting
- General work experience is of advantage
- You are valuable with numbers, well organized and have a thorough way of working
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good MS Office (Excel, Word) knowledge
- Fluency in English is essential
- You describe yourself as an open person, that takes on responsibility and likes to work in an international team
