Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review Federal and State Form 1065 Partnership returns for real estate syndications and investment funds
Prepare and review Schedule K-1s and support responses to investor/partner tax queries
Maintain and review depreciation, amortisation, and member capital/basis schedules
Identify and post book-to-tax adjustments and reconcile trial balances
Coordinate with clients to collect financials, supporting schedules, and missing data
Perform tax research and provide inputs on tax planning opportunities
Review financial statements and ensure compliance with US tax laws and filing requirements
Lead, mentor, and review the work of a team of 2–5 accountants
Ensure timely delivery and quality during peak tax deadlines
Required Experience & Skills
3+ years of experience in US Partnership Taxation (Form 1065) in public accounting or tax outsourcing firms
Strong exposure to real estate partnerships/syndications preferred
Hands-on experience with K-1 preparation, depreciation, and capital accounts
Good knowledge of US Federal and State tax regulations
Proficient in tax software (CCH Axcess, GoSystem, UltraTax, ProSeries, or similar) and MS Excel
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines
Prior experience in a team handling/review role is a plus
Qualifications
CPA preferred (EA or CA with robust US Tax experience may also be considered)
Shift & Work Commitment
Willing to work US Shift
Must be available for extended hours and full support during US Tax Season (Feb–Apr, Sep–Oct)
