Role & responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive piping stress analysis using CAESAR II in accordance with project specifications and international codes and standards.
- Develop and validate piping stress models for critical process, utility, and offshore piping systems.
- Evaluate piping flexibility, thermal expansion, sustained loads, occasional loads, and agile loads such as seismic, wind, water hammer, PSV discharge, and vibration.
- Review P&IDs;, piping layouts, isometrics, equipment GA drawings, vendor documents, and support details before analysis.
- Prepare stress analysis reports, stress isometrics, support load summaries, and engineering calculation documents.
- Coordinate with piping layout, mechanical, civil, structural, and process engineering teams to resolve stress-related issues and optimize piping routes.
- Review and validate support drawings prepared by designers and ensure compliance with stress analysis recommendations.
- Identify potential piping integrity issues and recommend practical engineering solutions to minimize stress and improve system reliability.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior piping stress engineers and designers.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, and vendors to address technical queries and obtain timely approvals.
- Support site activities by resolving field engineering issues related to piping stress, supports, and installation.
- Ensure project deliverables are completed within schedule while maintaining high quality and compliance with engineering standards.
- Experience working on Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, LNG, Power, Offshore, and Industrial projects is preferred.
