Key Responsibilities

1. Business Returns: prepare moderately complex to complex U.S. business tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance for Forms 1120, 1120S, and 1065.
2. Accounting Expertise: Possess a strong accounting background, including understanding of financial statements, general ledger, tax-to-book reconciliations, adjustment entries.
3. International Filings: Demonstrate working knowledge of international compliance requirements, including Forms 5472, 8865, and related filings.
4. State & Local Tax (SALT): Exhibit working knowledge of state tax compliance, including franchise tax filings, annual reports, and other recurring state requirements and payments.
5. Client Management: Act as the primary point of contact for clients to gather information, address technical queries, and provide regular updates on ongoing engagements.
6. Notice Handling: Independently manage and resolve IRS and state tax notices, guiding clients through compliance and resolution processes.
7. Technical Research: Conduct in-depth tax research to support complex tax positions and provide accurate, practical guidance.

Qualification

1. Proficiency in tax software such as CCH Axcess, CaseWare and Engagement Binder.
2.



CPA/EA qualification preferred
3. Strong foundation in accounting principles.
4. Demonstrated logical and analytical thinking abilities.
5. Excellent communication skills, with a proactive and detail-oriented approach.
