About the role The Editor is responsible for ensuring the quality accuracy and consistency of security content covering South Asia They will also contribute to the development and training of Southeast Asia Security Specialists and provide high quality editorial support to our 24 7 security operations including CountryWatch-India Sri Lanka and Bangladesh Key responsibilities Edit and publish security content for CountryWatch-India Sri Lanka and Bangladesh in line with Editorial Quality and service delivery standards Draft complex reports on South Asia and contribute to in-depth analytical reports and consulting projects on the region as required Ensure alignment of security content on India Sri Lanka and Bangladesh against global and localised thresholds Maintain close interaction with other South Asia Security colleagues to provide high quality editorial support to the security operation including helping to guide reporting consistency priorities and coverage Maintain and apply editorial quality management processes including guidelines and house style Identify and implement process improvements in content management and distribution software systems and processes for localised security content Support the development and training of South Asia Security Specialists and ensure they receive regular constructive editorial feedback in line with established Editorial Quality standards Assist in responding to client queries feedback on security content as required About you Required Skills and Knowledge Description of technical knowledge skills needed to perform the job High proficiency of copy-editing and proof reading Strong attention to detail Positive knowledge of global geo-politics and geography Excellent written and verbal communications skills including the ability to write clear jargon-free advice to a non-specialist audience Strong interpersonal skills Ability to explain editorial work clearly to a non-specialist audience Ability to work with diverse teams in cross-cultural and or remote context Knowledge of open-source intelligence processes Fluency in MS Office software Work Experience Qualification Edit and publish security content for CountryWatch-India Sri Lanka and Bangladesh in line with Editorial Quality and service delivery standards Draft complex reports on South Asia and contribute to in-depth analytical reports and consulting projects on the region as required Ensure alignment of security content on India Sri Lanka and Bangladesh against global and localised thresholds Maintain close interaction with other South Asia Security colleagues to provide high quality editorial support to the security operation including helping to guide reporting consistency priorities and coverage Maintain and apply editorial quality management processes including guidelines and house style Identify and implement process improvements in content management and distribution software systems and processes for localised security content Support the development and training of South Asia Security Specialists and ensure they receive regular constructive editorial feedback in line with established Editorial Quality standards Assist in responding to client queries feedback on security content as required
