The Company

Our client is a growing real estate developer in Myanmar with an expanding portfolio of residential and office developments. The organization offers an opportunity to influence the architectural identity of its projects while working within a dynamic, quick-paced, and entrepreneurial environment.

The Position

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Head Architectural Design will lead the company's architectural design function and drive the overall design vision, quality, and execution across its residential and office development portfolio. The role is responsible for overseeing the complete architectural design process from concept design through design development, consultant coordination, authority submissions, construction documentation, and site support.

Working closely with external consultants and internal project teams, the successful candidate will ensure that projects deliver high-quality, market-driven, commercially viable, and buildable design solutions. The role will also lead design reviews, value engineering initiatives, design optimization, and continuous improvement of design standards while ensuring projects are delivered on schedule and within development objectives.

The Architectural Design Head will collaborate closely with development, project management, quantity surveying, procurement, sales, marketing,



and construction teams to ensure design intent is successfully translated into completed developments while maintaining quality, cost, and delivery targets.

The Person

The ideal candidate will hold a Degree or Master's Degree in Architecture with at least 15 years of architectural design experience. Candidates should have a strong combination of architectural consultancy and property developer experience, with recent office and low-rise residential design exposure within the last 15 years. Preference will be given to individuals who have worked for both leading architectural consultancies and property developers, providing them with a solid understanding of both design excellence and development objectives.

Candidates should possess hands-on expertise in concept design, design management, consultant coordination, authority approvals, value engineering, and construction support. Experience delivering contemporary mixed used development projects with residential and office projects will be highly regarded.

We are seeking a commercially minded and hands-on design leader who enjoys working in a dynamic, growing organization. The successful candidate should combine strong design creativity with practical technical knowledge, possess excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, and be comfortable leading lean teams while managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit/BIM, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and other relevant architectural design software is expected. Strong leadership, presentation, and mentoring capabilities, together with a collaborative approach and the ability to thrive in a fast-moving development environment, will be key to success in this role.
