We are seeking an experienced Grading & Quality Control Head for natural diamonds to lead the end-to-end quality assurance, diamond grading, and certification processes. The role is responsible for ensuring that all diamonds meet strict 4Cs standards (Cut, Color, Clarity, and Carat) and company quality benchmarks before manufacturing, sales, or export.

Key Responsibilities

1. Diamond Grading & Evaluation

- Lead accurate grading of natural loose diamonds as per GIA / IGI / HRD standards
- Oversee assessment of Cut, Color, Clarity, and Carat (4Cs)
- Ensure consistency in grading across teams and batches
- Validate diamond identification including natural, treated, and synthetic screening

2. Quality Control Operations

- Establish and implement end-to-end QC systems for loose and mounted diamonds
- Conduct microscopic inspection for inclusions, blemishes, and cut proportions
- Ensure adherence to internal and international quality standards
- Monitor incoming, in-process, and final QC checkpoints

3. Team Leadership & Training

- Lead and manage QC, grading, and assorting teams
- Train graders and QC executives on diamond grading accuracy and consistency
- Develop SOPs, grading guidelines, and calibration systems (master stone sets)

4. Process & Compliance Management





- Maintain grading documentation, reports, and certification records
- Ensure compliance with industry norms, export requirements, and client specifications
- Coordinate with production, procurement, and sales teams for quality alignment

5. Continuous Improvement

- Drive process improvements in grading accuracy and QC efficiency
- Implement audit systems and error reduction mechanisms
- Stay updated with global diamond grading trends and technologies

Key Skills & Competencies

- Robust expertise in diamond grading (4Cs)
- Proficiency with loupe, microscope, proportion scope, and gemmological tools
- Deep understanding of natural diamond characteristics and inclusions
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- High attention to detail and visual accuracy
- Knowledge of GIA / IGI / HRD certification systems
- Ability to handle high-value inventory with integrity and confidentiality

Qualifications

- Graduate / Post Graduate in Gemology, Jewellery Manufacturing, or related field
- Certification in GIA / IGI / HRD preferred
- 15-20 years of experience in diamond grading and QC (Minimum 5+ years in leadership role)
