The Purchase Manager for Finished Goods (Luminaires) leads the sourcing, negotiation, and procurement of ready-to-sell lighting fixtures. This role focuses on managing Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and Original Design Manufacturer (ODM) partners to ensure cost-effective, high-quality and timely product delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Management
- Identify and onboard reliable OEM/ODM luminaire manufacturers globally.
- Evaluate vendor capabilities, financial stability, and production capacities.
- Nurture solid, long-term relationships with key strategic suppliers.
- Audit vendor factories regularly to ensure compliance with standards.
Procurement & Negotiation
- Negotiate commercial terms, price reductions, and payment schedules.
- Manage the end-to-end procurement cycle for finished luminaires.
- Analyze total cost of ownership (TCO) for lighting products.
- Draft legally binding supply agreements and service level contracts.
Inventory & Supply Chain Management
- Collaborate with sales forecasting teams to optimize stock levels.
- Minimize inventory carrying costs while preventing product stockouts.
- Track shipments to ensure on-time, in-full (OTIF) delivery.
- Mitigate supply chain risks like transit delays or material shortages.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Align with QA teams to enforce product specification standards.
- Ensure all luminaires meet required regional certifications.
- Resolve quality rejection issues and manage vendor debit notes.

Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: B.Tech/B.E. in Electrical Engineering or Graduate with a PG Diploma in Supply Chain Management.
- Experience: 5 to 10 years of solid procurement experience, specifically within the Indian lighting or electrical industry.
- Product Knowledge: Prior experience sourcing commercial luminaires.
