Hiring for a leading Travel Company:
Job Title: Branch Head
Location: Bangalore (Bengaluru), India
Industry: Travel Management / Corporate Travel (TMC)
Role Overview
The Branch Head will lead, manage, and scale our Bangalore operations. This leadership role is responsible for driving corporate business development, supervising regional travel operations, managing the branch P&L;, and mentoring a high-performing team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Corporate Travel Management (B2B), strong industry connections, and an analytical mindset to capture the Bangalore market.
Core Responsibilities:
1. P&L; Ownership & Strategy
Achieve annual revenue targets, profitability margins, and cost-control goals for the Bangalore branch.
Design and execute strategic business plans to penetrate Bangalore’s tech, pharmaceutical, and manufacturing corporate hubs.
Provide data-driven monthly and quarterly market intelligence, sales forecasts, and operational audits to executive leadership.
2. B2B Sales & Corporate Account Management
Drive recent corporate acquisitions by networking with procurement heads, HR leads, and corporate decision-makers.
Oversee end-to-end corporate RFP processes, pricing negotiations, and commercial drafting.
Ensure top-tier client retention by organizing regular performance reviews (QBRs) and matching client SLA metrics.
3. Operational Excellence & Tech Adoption
Oversee daily corporate travel fulfillment across flights, hotels, car rentals, MICE, visa assistance, and forex.
Lead the deployment and adoption of corporate Self-Booking Tools (SBT) and expense management platforms at the client end.
Monitor service level agreements(SLAs) to guarantee zero-defect delivery and manage escalation handling.
4. Supplier Relations & Commercials
Negotiate regional corporate pricing with airlines, hotel chains,
and local consolidators to secure maximized margins.
Coordinate with central procurement to utilize global supplier incentives and override programs.
Monitor credit parameters, outstanding risk balances, and cash collections from clients to maintain optimal cash flow.
5. Leadership & Team Building
Direct and inspire a cross-functional team across Corporate Sales, Operations/Ticketing, Account Management, and Finance.
Foster a performance-driven culture by implementing clear KPIs, executing periodic reviews, and hosting training programs.
Control team attrition rates by sustaining open communications and clear internal career pathways.
Candidate Requirements
Educational Background
Required: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality, Travel & Tourism, or a related field.
Experience Profile
Minimum Experience: 10 to 15 years of total experience within the travel industry.
Local Market Knowledge: Deep existing network within Bangalore’s corporate circles to accelerate immediate pipeline generation.
Technical & Functional Competencies
GDS Expertise: In-depth working knowledge of major platforms like Amadeus, Galileo, or Sabre.
Modern Systems: Strong familiarity with automated CRM platforms, corporate Self-Booking Tools (SBTs), and business intelligence dashboards.
Financial Management: Working proficiency in corporate credit control, client billing systems, and statutory compliance parameters.
Soft Skills
Strong leadership qualities with experience managing teams of 15–30 professionals.
Clear verbal and written business presentation skills.
Refined analytical mindset focused on client problem-solving and contract negotiation.
Pay: ₹2,000,000.00 - ₹2,500,000.00 per year
