Desired Skills

- We are seeking a Senior Tax Accountant - Chat Support with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in U.S. Individual Taxation, including Forms 1040, 1040-NR, and 1040-SR.
- The individual will provide tax-related support through chat, email, and digital communication channels for CPA firm clients and internal teams.
- Robust understanding of U.S. individual tax regulations and tax return processes is required.
- Ability to interpret tax-related queries accurately and provide timely resolutions while maintaining high-quality service standards.
- Excellent written communication and client-servicing skills are essential.

Job Description

- Respond to tax-related queries from U.S.-based CPA firms, clients, and internal stakeholders through chat and other digital communication platforms.
- Provide guidance on U.S. individual income tax returns, including Forms 1040, 1040-NR, and 1040-SR.
- Support tax preparers and reviewers by addressing return-related questions and documentation requirements.
- Review client-submitted information and assist in gathering missing documents required for tax return preparation.
- Coordinate with U.S. CPA partners, managers, and reviewers to ensure timely resolution of client issues.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, escalations,



and resolutions in internal systems.
- Assist in identifying discrepancies in tax documentation and escalate complex technical tax matters to senior team members.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, client guidelines, and applicable tax regulations while providing support.
- Meet service-level agreements (SLAs), productivity targets, and quality metrics for chat support operations.
- Handle multiple client conversations simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
- Support peak-season tax operations by providing prompt and effective assistance.

Qualification

- MBA in Accounting & Finance, Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.

Language Proficiency

- Strong proficiency in written and verbal English communication.
- Excellent business writing, grammar, and customer interaction skills.

Required Certifications (Added Advantage)

- Enrolled Agent (EA)
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

Computer Proficiency

- Sound knowledge of MS Office, mainly:
- MS Excel
- MS Outlook
- MS Teams

- Experience with chat support platforms, CRM systems, and ticketing tools.
- Working knowledge of U.S. tax software such as:

- ProConnect
- ProSystem
- Lacerte
- UltraTax
- Intuit Software
- CCH
- Drake
