Job Title: Area Sales Manager (ASM) – General Trade (GT)
Location: Mumbai

CTC: Up to 18 LPA
Working Days: 6 Days a Week

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Area Sales Manager – General Trade (GT) to drive sales growth and distribution in the assigned territory. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in FMCG Food or Spices with expertise in distributor management, territory sales, team handling, and achieving primary and secondary sales targets.

Note:

- Preferred Industry: FMCG – Food or Spices only

- Avoid: Dairy, Tobacco

- Only General Trade (GT) experience – Candidates with combined GT + Modern Trade (MT) experience will not be considered.

- No relocation candidates.

Key Responsibilities

- Achieve primary and secondary sales targets within the assigned territory.

- Expand numeric and weighted distribution while ensuring product availability.





- Manage and strengthen distributor and channel partner relationships.

- Drive product visibility and retail execution across GT outlets.

- Lead, mentor, and monitor the performance of the sales team.

- Track collections and ensure financial discipline.

- Prepare sales forecasts, monitor inventory, and maintain MIS reports.

- Execute trade promotions, BTL activities, and market development initiatives.

- Ensure smooth day-to-day sales operations and territory management.

Requirements

- 8–12 years of experience in FMCG General Trade (GT) sales.

- Robust experience in distributor and channel management.

- Proven track record of consistently achieving sales targets.

- Hands-on experience in team handling and territory management.

- Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills.
