A Senior Area Manager in the Gold Loan business is responsible for managing multiple branches within a region, driving business growth, ensuring operational excellence, and leading branch teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and supervise the performance of multiple gold loan branches within the assigned area.
- Achieve regional business targets for gold loan disbursements, portfolio growth, and profitability.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to increase customer acquisition and market share.
- Monitor branch productivity, daily disbursements, renewals, and loan closures.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate Branch Managers and sales teams.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, RBI guidelines, KYC, AML, and regulatory compliance.
- Oversee gold appraisal quality and ensure accurate valuation of pledged gold.
- Monitor loan-to-value (LTV) ratios and maintain portfolio quality.
- Review overdue accounts and implement effective collection and recovery strategies to minimize NPAs.
- Conduct regular branch audits to ensure operational efficiency and risk control.
- Maintain high standards of customer service and resolve escalated customer grievances.
- Analyze MIS reports, business trends,



and branch performance to identify improvement opportunities.
- Coordinate with Operations, Credit, Risk, HR, and Compliance teams for smooth business functioning.
- Monitor competitor activities, local market trends, and customer needs to develop business opportunities.
- Ensure branch security, safe custody of pledged gold, and adherence to security protocols.
- Drive cross-selling of insurance, savings products, or other financial products (where applicable).
- Prepare periodic business reviews and present performance updates to senior management.
- Build relationships with local business communities and key stakeholders to generate business leads.
