About the Role

We are seeking a Beauty & Cosmetics SME (Freelancer) to support advanced AI evaluation initiatives focused on beauty, skincare, cosmetics, personal care, product knowledge, ingredient analysis, and AI-generated beauty content evaluation.

In this role, you will evaluate AI-generated content related to skincare routines, cosmetic products, makeup techniques, haircare, beauty ingredients, dermatology-informed recommendations, and consumer beauty education. Your expertise will help improve AI systems designed for beauty intelligence, product recommendation, ingredient interpretation, and customer guidance.

This position is ideal for professionals with experience in the beauty and cosmetics industry, skincare formulation, cosmetic science, dermatology support, beauty education, product development, retail beauty consulting, or beauty journalism.

Responsibilities

- Review AI-generated skincare routines, cosmetic product comparisons, makeup tutorials, ingredient explanations, beauty FAQs, and educational content.
- Evaluate ingredient lists (INCI), product claims, usage instructions, contraindications, and skin-type suitability.
- Validate AI-generated recommendations for different skin types, hair types, cosmetic concerns, and beauty goals using evidence-based knowledge.
- Identify factual inaccuracies, unsupported claims,



misleading product recommendations, ingredient misinterpretations, safety concerns, and regulatory issues.
- Provide structured feedback to improve AI performance in beauty content generation, product recommendation, and cosmetic knowledge.
- Review peer-developed deliverables to maintain quality and consistency standards.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Cosmetic Science, Pharmacy, Chemistry, Dermatology, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Beauty Therapy, Cosmetology, or a related field is preferred.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in beauty, cosmetics, skincare, cosmetic formulation, product development, beauty consulting, dermatology support, or personal care.
- Evaluating cosmetic ingredients, formulations, and product claims.
- Advising on skincare routines, makeup products, and personal care solutions.
- Reviewing product labels, usage instructions, and ingredient safety information.
- Assessing beauty content for scientific accuracy and consumer relevance.
- Reviewing AI-generated beauty recommendations and educational content.
- Familiarity with ingredient databases, cosmetic regulations, and evidence-based skincare principles.




- Excellent analytical thinking and written English communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to make evidence-based evaluation decisions.
- Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience working with cosmetic manufacturers, skincare brands, beauty retailers, dermatology clinics, cosmetic laboratories, wellness companies, or beauty education platforms.
- Knowledge of global cosmetic regulations, ingredient safety standards, and product labeling requirements.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as FDA cosmetic guidance, EU Cosmetics Regulation, BIS standards, or other regional cosmetic compliance requirements.
- Experience reviewing AI-generated beauty content, consumer product recommendations, or e-commerce beauty listings.
- Professional certifications in cosmetology, skincare, aesthetic treatments, or cosmetic formulation are an advantage.
- Background in beauty journalism, content creation, cosmetic research, or product training is a plus.
