Role & responsibilities
- Maintain QuickBooks Online books for the group's foreign entities - AP, AR, bank feeds, journal entries.
- Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations across all foreign entity accounts.
- Record intercompany transactions and reconcile intercompany balances between the India group entity (Tally) and foreign entities (QuickBooks).
- Track foreign currency transactions, exchange gain/loss, and month-end FX revaluation.
- Prepare monthly MIS / close packs (P&L;, balance sheet, cash position) for each foreign entity.
- Coordinate with the foreign entities' external CPA / tax preparer for annual filings, sales tax, and state filings as applicable.
- Support the AP cycle - vendor bill entry, approvals, and payment runs (ACH / wire) for foreign entities.
- Assist with export invoicing documentation and cross-entity trade reconciliation between the India and foreign group entities.
- Maintain supporting schedules for auditors (fixed assets,
prepaid, accruals) for foreign entity year-end audits.
Preferred candidate profile
- Graduate / Post-Graduate (Commerce background preferred).
- Hands-on QuickBooks Online (QBO) experience with US / foreign entity books is essential; QBO Certified ProAdvisor certification is a plus (not a substitute for practical experience).
- 2-5 years of hands-on QuickBooks bookkeeping experience, ideally for a US-based or other foreign entity (BPO / KPO / remote accounting background a strong plus).
- Working knowledge of US GAAP basics, sales tax concepts, and multi-currency accounting.
- Comfortable working overlapping US time-zone hours for part of the day.
- Robust Excel skills; exposure to Tally is a plus (for intercompany reconciliation with the India books).
