Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly analytical and experienced Credit Officer to join our NBFC team. The Credit Officer will play a critical role in credit appraisal, risk assessment, and ensuring compliance for home loan applications. This role demands a proactive individual with strong decision-making and communication skills to contribute to the growth and efficiency of our credit operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Credit Appraisal: Conduct detailed credit evaluations and assess financial viability for home loan applicants.
- Risk Assessment: Identify, analyze, and mitigate credit risks while ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory standards.
- Compliance Management:
Ensure all credit approvals comply with company policies and legal guidelines.
- Decision-Making: Make informed decisions on loan approvals, keeping in mind organizational objectives and risk tolerance.
- Communication: Coordinate effectively with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders to process applications efficiently.
- Documentation: Review and verify applicant documents for accuracy and authenticity.
- Market Insights: Stay updated on market trends, credit policies, and competitor practices in the home loan sector.
- Reporting: Prepare and present credit reports, recommendations, and observations to senior management.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the sales and operations teams to streamline the credit approval process.
- Customer Engagement: Address customer queries and provide guidance on credit policies and processes.
