Role & responsibilities
Manage end-to-end litigation and arbitration matters across the organization.
Handle infrastructure-related arbitration cases, particularly those involving State Government authorities and public sector entities.
Oversee routine litigation, including consumer disputes, Motor Accident Claims Tribunal (MACT) cases, and labour law matters.
Coordinate and manage external legal counsel to ensure timely and effective representation before various judicial and quasi-judicial forums.
Draft, review, and vet legal notices, pleadings, replies, affidavits, and other legal documentation.
Provide strategic legal advice to internal stakeholders on litigation risks and dispute resolution.
Monitor ongoing legal matters, maintain litigation trackers, and ensure timely compliance with court directions and statutory requirements.
Exposure to criminal proceedings and related legal matters will be an added advantage.
Work closely with the General Counsel on legal strategy, risk mitigation, and dispute management.
Preferred candidate profile
Bachelor's degree in law (LL.B.) from a recognized law school. An LL.M. will be an added advantage.
810 years of relevant experience in litigation and arbitration.
Solid exposure to infrastructure disputes and arbitration involving State Government authorities.
Hands-on experience in handling consumer, MACT, labor, and civil litigation matters.
Experience in managing and coordinating with external legal counsel.
Excellent drafting, negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
A proactive, self-driven, and result-oriented skilled with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively
