Job Description:

About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Lease Accounting Senior Accountant to support backend operations to manages multiple client accounts in restaurant sector and provides central point of contact for all ASC 842 implementation and accounting from India. This role will be an expert and responsible for ASC 842 lease accounting standard and to report the financial impact of their leases for respective clients as part of Centre of Excellence.

Key Responsibility:
Define Lease Policy as per FASB , administration & adherence.
Identify all leases and gather information of relevant leased assets
This will be a very hands-on senior accountant role with no direct reports (at least, initially)
Interacting with clients and client engagement team members, dealing with Property Works
Calculate ‘Right of use (ROU)’ assets with a corresponding lease liability on Balance sheet
Preparation of accurate lease schedule and posting relevant accounting journals
Engage in ongoing monitoring and control
Collaborate with cross functional teams.

Knowledge and Experience:
10+ years of rigorous hands-on experience in various accounting process, with ideally 8 years of experience in lease accounting ASC 842; preferably in a complex,



quick paced and matrix and challenging work workplace
Essential: Experience in Retail/ Restaurant industry or Big 4 accounting firm is preferred
Preferable knowledge on Property Works lease management system
Education Qualification - Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. CPA or other equivalent professional qualification would be helpful.
Results orientated, fact-based., Confident stakeholder management skills
Comprehensive experience with ERP tools
Quick to identify risks and collaborate with necessary parties to develop risk mitigation plans
An understanding of shared services/ COE operating models; good knowledge of leading practices in shared services (e.g, SLAs, KPIs, metrics, and reporting)
Proficiency in English language with excellent oral and written communication skills
Proficient in MS Office applications, especially in MS excel and PowerPoint.

Reporting To: Controller FAO in US and Vice President FAO India

Shift Availability: Candidates should be available from 7:30 PM IST to 4:30 AM IST, with flexibility to support outside of these hours as required.
