Role & responsibilities
Perform Visual Inspection of welds before, during, and after fabrication/welding to identify defects in Weldment/complete product.
Verify that all welding activities align with WPS, PQR, SOP and meet Customer Spec Requirements.
Verify fit-up, root gap, and alignment of joints prior to welding.
Maintain accurate daily inspection reports, weld logs, and traceability records for all materials/products.
Works on weld Defects & their Rework Methods.
Ensuring welding operation carried out accordance with as per document.
Knowledge of NDT processes like FPI, MPI & RT. (Level 2 certification will be an added advantage)
Knowledge of Tig welding in Stainless steel, Titanium, Inconel & Aluminium welding.
Welding related NCR handling.




Products identification & Traceability to be monitored.
knowledge about handling quality instruments like borescope, Vernier calliper, micrometre, depth Vernier, height gauge & GO-NOGO gauges etc.
Understanding of welding metallurgy and TIG welding process.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting ISO, AWS, ASME engineering drawings.
Knowledge with Quality Management Systems (AS 9100, ISO 9001) etc
Must know safety rules, valuable housekeeping, 5S, shop floor related activity.
Familiarity with NDT Level II methods is highly preferred.
