We are seeking a skilled Tax Accountant experienced in Australian taxation and compliance to manage end-to-end tax preparation, bookkeeping, and financial reporting for a diverse portfolio of clients. The role involves preparing tax returns, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting business advisory work in line with Australian tax regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and lodge annual tax returns for individuals, companies, partnerships, and trusts.
Draft client query emails and develop detailed workpapers referencing tax returns, trial balances, and supporting documents.
Review client accounting records in Xero, MYOB, and Excel to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
Prepare special purpose financial statements for companies, trusts, and partnerships.
Handle bookkeeping tasks, including bank reconciliations,
journal postings, and sales invoice creation.
Process weekly payroll using Xero.
Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Instalment Activity Statements (IAS).
Assist in family trust distribution calculations and related tax estimate preparations.
Support business advisory work, including GST, CGT, FBT, and Division 7A compliance matters.
