Role & responsibilities

License Management & Compliance:
• Ensure compliance with software licensing agreements, reducing risks of non-compliance.
• Track, manage, and optimize software licenses to avoid over-licensing or under-licensing.
• Conduct internal audits and assist in external vendor audits, ensuring proper documentation.

Software Asset Management (SAM):
• Implement and manage SAM tools to monitor and optimize license usage.
• Maintain a centralized inventory of software assets, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
• Work with IT and Procurement teams to control software costs and budget effectively.

Vendor & Contract Management:
• Manage relationships with software vendors, negotiate contracts, and track renewal cycles.
• Review and analyze licensing agreements to ensure business needs and cost efficiency.
• Keep up-to-date with changes in vendor licensing policies and industry best practices.

Cost Optimization & Reporting:




• Identify opportunities for cost reduction through effective license utilization and negotiations.
• Provide regular reports on license usage, compliance status, and cost-saving prospects.
• Collaborate with procurement and finance teams to forecast license expenditures.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Experience: 5+ years in software license management, SAM, or IT asset management.
• Knowledge: Solid understanding of software licensing models (Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle, SAP, etc.).
• Tools: Hands-on experience with SAM tools like Flexera, Snow, ServiceNow SAM, etc.
• Compliance & Audits: Familiarity with software compliance audits and vendor negotiations.
• Communication: Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
• Certifications (Preferred): ITIL, CSAM (Certified Software Asset Manager), Microsoft Licensing Specialist, or equivalent
