Role & responsibilities

Inbound Logistics

• Manage transportation of fabrics, trims, accessories, packaging materials, and other raw materials from suppliers to Shahi factories.

• Ensure timely deliveries to support production schedules and minimize line stoppages.

• Coordinate closely with Sourcing, Procurement, Planning, and Production teams.

Outbound Logistics

• Oversee dispatch of finished goods from factories to forwarders, warehouses, ICDs/CFS, airports, seaports, and domestic customers.

• Ensure adherence to shipment cut-offs and customer delivery commitments.

• Optimize vehicle utilization and reduce transit lead times.

Transport Operations

• Lead pan-India transportation planning, fleet deployment, route optimization, and capacity management.

• Develop contingency plans for peak season and emergency shipments.

• Drive operational efficiency across all transport activities.

Transport Vendor Management

• Develop and manage transporter partnerships.

• Negotiate freight rates and service agreements.

• Monitor transporter performance through defined KPIs and SLAs.

Cost & Process Improvement





• Identify prospects to optimize freight costs through consolidation, route planning, and improved vehicle utilization.

• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and implement best logistics practices.

Control Tower & Digital Logistics

• Monitor transportation through GPS, TMS, and digital dashboards.

• Improve shipment visibility and reporting through technology and analytics.

Compliance & Security

• Ensure compliance with statutory transport regulations, E-Way Bills, insurance requirements, and internal security protocols.

• Implement measures to safeguard cargo and minimize transit risks.

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Work closely with Factory Teams, Production, Planning, Procurement, Shipping, Finance,
