Job DescriptionRole Summary: NWe are seeking a dynamic and dedicated English Educator to support the academic development of student-athletes. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to integrate English instruction with athletic schedules, and a commitment to helping athletes excel both academically and in their respective sports. The ideal candidate will be passionate about fostering literacy skills, critical thinking, and effective communication in student-athletes while ensuring their educational success. NKey Responsibilitiesn N Teach English Language and Literature for Grades 10–12 across multiple educational boards but a small group. N Prepare students for board-level assessments. N Design and deliver English communication and public speaking modules, tailored to the needs of IIS athletes. N Classify athletes basedon proficiency and create structured sessions accordingly. N Focus on qualitative and quantitative outcomes in communication skill-building N Contribute to the IIS Newsletter – content creation, editing, and mentoring N Guide and prepare athletes for debates, media engagements, emceeing, and other institutional events NnCollaboration & Integration Nn Coordinate with coaches,
sports science staff and academic staff to align communication training with athlete development N Collaborate with academic team members to ensure consistency in content delivery and student tracking N Work with event and media teams for smooth planning and representation of athletes in IIS activities N Contribute to interdisciplinary sessions and life skill modules that involve communication, leadership, or presentation skills NnCore Competencies and Skills Nn Fluency in English and Hindi (spoken and written) N Robust classroom presence and ability to train in public speaking and media interaction N Experience in developing and delivering English communication modules, preferably for non-traditional learners N Creativity in planning athlete-relevant, real-life communication tasks N Patience and empathy inworking with students managing academic and athletic pressures N Flexibility in adjusting schedules and session plans around training demands N Skill in providing bothqualitative feedback and tracking quantitative progress N Basic tech proficiency (Google tools, session logs, digital content delivery) N Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) NnRequirementsn N Bachelor's or Master's degree in English, Literature, or Communication N B.Ed. (mandatory for teaching under school board curricula) N Prior experience teaching in school setup N Demonstrated ability tocreate structured, outcome-oriented communication modules suited for the IIS environment NnPreferred Qualifications Nn 2–4 years of teaching or communication training experience N Freshers with strong communication skills and the ability to meet role expectations are also welcome N Experience in speech training, debates, creative writing, or co-curricular mentoring is a plus N Comfort with blended/hybrid instruction and performance-based evaluation methods N
