Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced NOC Engineer (L2) to join our Infrastructure Operations team. This role will act as the primary escalation point for complex infrastructure and monitoring-related incidents, ensuring timely diagnosis and resolution of issues across servers, networks, cloud platforms, and backup systems.

The ideal candidate should possess solid analytical and troubleshooting skills, be capable of mentoring junior engineers, and demonstrate the ability to think beyond conventional solutions when

resolving technical challenges.

Key Responsibilities

- Act as the escalation point for incidents raised by NOC L1 engineers.
- Monitor and maintain the health of servers, cloud infrastructure, networks, and backup

environments.

- Trand Analysis and Fine Tuning of Monioring rule
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for infrastructure-related issues.
- Investigate recurring alerts and suggest permanent corrective actions.
- Manage and resolve critical incidents within agreed timelines.
- Monitor Azure resources and identify performance, availability, and security-related concerns.
- Troubleshoot Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft 365, and networking

issues.

- Monitor and Manage backup jobs, investigate failures, and coordinate restoration activities when

required.

- Maintain accurate technical documentation and operational procedures.
- Support infrastructure improvement initiatives and monitoring optimization.

Performing inpact analysis.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to NOC L1 engineers.
- Participate in shift handovers and ensure operational continuity in a 24x7 environment.

Required Technical Skills

Infrastructure & Monitoring

- Strong experience in server and infrastructure monitoring inlcuding cloud infrastructure.
- Experience with monitoring platforms such as Site24x7, PRTG, Zabbix, SolarWinds, Nagios,

Datadog, or similar tools.

- Ability to analyse alerts, identify trends, and perform proactive troubleshooting.

Advanced Troubleshooting

- Strong problem diagnosis and root cause analysis skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues independently.
- Experience handling escalations and critical incidents.

Microsoft Technologies

- Strong knowledge of:
- Windows Server
- Active Directory (AD)
- Microsoft 365 Administration
- DNS, DHCP

Azure

- Understanding of Azure Infrastructure Services.
- Experience monitoring Azure Virtual Machines, Storage, Networking, and related services.
- Familiarity with Azure Monitor and Log Analytics is preferred.

Networking

- Strong understanding of:
- TCP/IP
- Routing & Switching
- VLANs
- VPNs
- DNS & DHCP
- Firewall concepts
- Experience over Cisco stacks




- Ability to troubleshoot network connectivity and performance issues.

Backup Technologies

- Experience with enterprise backup solutions.
- Monitoring backup schedules and troubleshooting backup failures.
- Exposure to Veeam, Commvault, Acronis, Azure Backup, or similar tools is preferred.

Experience

- 4-6 years of experience in NOC, Infrastructure Support, Systems Administration, or IT Operations.
- Experience handling technical escalations in a 24x7 support setting.

- Any Microsoft Infrastructure or Azure certifications
