Role & responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and manage critically ill patients admitted to the ICU.
- Conduct daily IPD and ICU rounds to evaluate patient progress and ensure timely clinical interventions.
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans.
- Monitor patient condition and modify treatment plans as required.
- Perform and supervise critical care procedures, including ventilator management and life-support interventions.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide advanced critical care.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including specialists, nursing staff, and allied healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and medical records.
- Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, infection control practices, and patient safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with patients' families regarding treatment plans, prognosis, and clinical updates.
- Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and continuous medical education programs.
Preferred candidate profile
- MBBS with MD/DNB in General Medicine, Anaesthesiology, Pulmonary Medicine, or Emergency Medicine.
- DM/DrNB/FNB in Critical Care Medicine preferred.
- 2-3 years of experience in Critical Care/ICU.
- Robust clinical, diagnostic, and emergency management skills.
- Experience in ICU management, ventilator care, and IPD rounds.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient management skills.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts and handle medical emergencies.
