ABOUT THE BUSINESS

This role is within a profitable, scaled recruitment platform business that is part of the Info Edge group. The business has meaningful market presence across multiple hiring segments, a significant candidate base, and established enterprise recruiter relationships built over many years. The growth opportunity ahead is substantial: the business is positioned to scale by a significant multiple over the next three to five years, and realising that potential requires a transformation of the technology and operations delivery vehicle.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a transformation mandate, not a maintenance one. Platform reliability, feature velocity, and operational execution are the primary growth constraints today. The person stepping into this role will be accountable for removing those constraints: building AI-first capabilities across recruiter and candidate workflows, and rebuilding the operations function to be best-in-class.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN

– Platform technology: engineering delivery, reliability, and feature velocity across all product lines
– AI for productivity and operations: deploying AI-driven automation across technology and ops workflows, including assisted delivery, candidate sourcing, and internal tooling
– AI for matching and platform intelligence: owning the development of better algorithms, relevance ranking, and AI-assisted shortlisting that makes the platform meaningfully smarter over time
– Operations: end-to-end service delivery quality, including sourcing ops, recruiter support, and SLA-driven execution
– Process and tooling: internal infrastructure (dashboards,



activation tracking, productivity tools) that enables the customer success and sales teams to operate effectively
– Vendor and infrastructure management: costs, architecture decisions, and third-party integrations

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Experience and background

– 12 to 18 years of experience with meaningful stints in both technology leadership and operational delivery
– Has built or rebuilt a tech and ops function, not just managed a steady-state one
– Understands product-market dynamics in platform businesses (recruitment, marketplace, or SaaS context preferred)
– Has worked in a startup or transformation context where speed and resourcefulness matter more than headcount

Mindset and orientation

– AI-first in practice: has built or shipped AI-driven features, not just evaluated them
– Comfortable operating with ambiguity, low-process environments, and incomplete information
– Measures technology by its impact on hiring share, adoption, and customer success, not system elegance alone
– Can build recent things and retire old ones without losing team morale

WHAT WE ARE NOT LOOKING FOR

– Someone who needs a large team to feel effective
– Someone who defaults to building over buying, or vice versa, without evaluating the business case
– Someone who treats technology and operations as separate kingdoms rather than an integrated delivery system

REPORTING AND CONTEXT

This role reports directly to the Business Head and is a member of the core leadership team. The person will interface regularly with Naukri's central technology organisation for platform integration and shared infrastructure decisions.
