About the Role

We are seeking a Sociology SME (Freelancer) to support advanced AI evaluation initiatives focused on sociology, social research, social theory, cultural studies, demographic analysis, public policy, and AI-generated social science content evaluation.

In this role, you will evaluate AI-generated sociological analyses, research summaries, educational materials, policy discussions, demographic insights, and social issue content. Your expertise will help improve AI systems designed for social research, educational assistance, public policy analysis, and responsible AI reasoning.

This position is ideal for professionals with experience in sociology, social sciences, academia, public policy, social research, NGOs, think tanks, government research organizations, or educational institutions.

About the Responsibilities

- Review AI-generated research summaries, educational content, policy analyses, demographic reports, case studies, and sociological explanations.
- Evaluate discussions on social structures, institutions, inequality, migration, urbanization, education, health, labor, family, gender, and cultural dynamics.
- Verify sociological concepts, research findings, theoretical frameworks, demographic data, and policy references using authoritative academic and research sources.
- Identify unsupported claims, methodological flaws, biased reasoning, factual inaccuracies, misuse of sociological concepts, and contextual gaps.




- Provide structured feedback to improve AI performance in sociological reasoning, educational content generation, and social science research.
- Review peer-developed deliverables to maintain quality and consistency standards.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Sociology, Social Sciences, Anthropology, Public Policy, Political Science, Social Work, Development Studies, or a related field is required.
- Master's degree or Ph.D. in Sociology or a related discipline is preferred.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in sociology, academic research, teaching, public policy, social research, community development, or applied social sciences.
- Conducting sociological research using qualitative and quantitative methodologies.
- Analyzing social structures, institutions, demographic trends, and societal change.
- Writing or reviewing research papers, reports, educational materials, or policy documents.
- Evaluating AI-generated social science content for conceptual accuracy and contextual relevance.
- Applying evidence-based sociological frameworks to real-world issues.
- Familiarity with research databases, survey methodologies, statistical analysis, citation standards, and social science research tools is preferred.
- Excellent analytical thinking, research, and written English communication skills.




- Strong attention to detail and ability to make evidence-based evaluations.
- Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience working with universities, research institutions, think tanks, NGOs, government agencies, international development organizations, policy institutes, or educational publishers.
- Expertise in one or more areas such as Urban Sociology, Rural Sociology, Medical Sociology, Sociology of Education, Sociology of Work, Gender Studies, Population Studies, Migration Studies, Criminology, or Development Studies.
- Experience developing educational content, policy reports, academic publications, social impact assessments, or community research projects.
- Experience evaluating AI-generated educational content, research summaries, policy analyses, or social science datasets.
- Familiarity with Generative AI, prompt engineering, RLHF (Reinforcement Learning from Human Feedback), AI benchmarking, or responsible AI evaluation is an advantage.
- Publications in peer-reviewed journals, books, or recognized social science platforms are highly desirable.
