Job Description About the Role

/n The Department Head – Hospitality & Industry Partnerships will lead the development of an industry-connected hospitality school that prepares students for careers across hospitality, tourism, luxury, events, and experience-led industries.

/n This role combines academic leadership with strong industry engagement to build a future-ready learning ecosystem through internships, apprenticeships, live industry projects, and placement partnerships.
/n Key Responsibilities
/n Academic Leadership
/n /n Support curriculum implementation and continuous improvement.
/n Recruit, mentor, and develop faculty members.
/n Drive teaching excellence and academic quality.

/n Ensure robust student learning outcomes.

/n /n Industry Engagement
/n /n Build and strengthen relationships with leading hospitality brands.
/n Develop internship and apprenticeship opportunities.
/n Facilitate live industry projects and experiential learning initiatives.

/n Foster long-term partnerships with industry stakeholders.

/n /n Employability & Placements
/n /n Build and manage a solid placement pipeline.
/n Engage recruiters across hospitality, tourism, luxury, and related sectors.
/n Organize career fairs, networking events, and employer engagement activities.





/n Expand the institution's employer network to enhance student career opportunities.

/n /n Programme Development
/n /n Identify emerging trends in the hospitality and tourism industry.
/n Recommend new programs and specializations aligned with industry needs.

/n Support the development of innovative, experience-driven learning initiatives.

/n /n External Relations
/n /n Represent the institution at hospitality forums, conferences, and industry events.
/n Build strategic partnerships with hotels, luxury brands, tourism organizations, and other industry partners.

/n Strengthen the institution's visibility within the hospitality ecosystem.

/n /n Ideal Candidate
/n /n 10–15 years of experience in hospitality education leadership or the hospitality industry.
/n Solid network within the hospitality, tourism, luxury, or events sectors.
/n Proven experience in building internship and placement programs.
/n Demonstrated ability to collaborate with industry partners.
/n Passion for experiential learning and industry-integrated education.
/n Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
