Senior Fashion Designer – Indian Couture We are looking to hire a Senior Fashion Designer for Indian Couture at Mandira Wirk — an opportunity to shape signature collections for a growing luxury label with real creative ownership.
: Design Leadership — Lead the development of Indian couture collections from concept, mood boards, and fabric selection through to final sampling. Set clear design guidelines and plan the collection range in line with brand philosophy and sales targets.
Trend Forecasting & Silhouette Development — Analyze market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activity to translate traditional Indian craftsmanship and global cues into distinctive, sale-driven collections. Create silhouettes aligned with the brand's aesthetic while maintaining a high success rate season over season.
Production & Craft Coordination — Work closely with sampling, embroidery, and production teams to ensure accuracy and timely execution. Oversee fittings, revisions, and quality checks for consistent finish. Source and develop fabrics, trims, prints,
and surface techniques suited to luxury Indian couture, including embroidery and handwork (zardozi, thread work, etc).
Team Management — Lead and mentor fashion designers and interns, allocating projects across the design pipeline and guiding the team end-to-end for smooth, timely production.
Requirements: Prior experience working with a fashion label is mandatory
4–6 years of experience in Indian couture / luxury Indian garments
Strong understanding of silhouettes, construction, drape, and fit
Solid sketching, CAD, and tech pack skills
Able to balance creative vision with what sells
