Role & responsibilities

Current Product Development & Engineering

- Lead end-to-end mechanical design and development of new products from concept, prototyping, validation, and production release
- Translate customer, market, and regulatory requirements into robust mechanical designs
- Develop system architecture, detailed designs, 3D models, drawings, and specifications
- Conduct design reviews, risk assessments (DFMEA), and engineering analyses
- Oversee prototyping, testing, validation, and design verification activities

Leadership & Project Management

- Act as technical lead for NPD projects, coordinating with R&D;, manufacturing, quality, procurement, and marketing teams
- Drive project schedules, budgets, and milestones to ensure on-time delivery
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and technical staff
- Support supplier development, technical evaluations, and vendor qualification

Manufacturing & Quality

- Ensure designs are optimized for manufacturability, assembly, reliability, and cost (DFMA)




- Support pilot production, tooling development, and production ramp-up
- Collaborate with quality teams to resolve design-related issues and implement corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company quality systems

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

- Identify opportunities for product innovation, cost reduction, and performance improvement
- Stay updated on emerging technologies, materials, and manufacturing processes
- Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes, documentation, and best practices

Preferred candidate profile

- Experience in [automotive / industrial equipment / consumer products / medical devices/ Construction Equipment]
- Exposure to global product development and supplier management
- Familiarity with regulatory standards (ISO, ASME, IATF AIAG, etc.)
