The Senior Consultant / Team Lead – Pharma Mystery Shopping & Compliance is responsible for executing and coordinating compliance testing programs across online pharmaceutical and healthcare platforms.

This role ensures adherence to prescription drug regulations, healthcare privacy standards, fraud prevention requirements, and payment card brand compliance programs.

The role leads day-to-day mystery shopping engagements that simulate pharmacy customer journeys, including prescription verification, checkout processes, pharmacist consultations, and patient support interactions. The Senior Consultant serves as a subject matter expert, mentors Analysts and Consultants, and works closely with Compliance, Legal, Risk, and Operations teams to identify regulatory gaps and recommend corrective actions.

Key Responsibilities

- Execute and coordinate pharma-focused mystery shopping programs to evaluate compliance for prescription and OTC pharmaceutical products.
- Assess online pharmacy websites for regulatory disclosures, NABP/LegitScript accreditation, licensing requirements, and applicable healthcare regulations.
- Verify compliance with HIPAA, GDPR, and other healthcare privacy and data protection standards.
- Conduct mystery shopping transactions involving prescription and non-prescription medications while validating pharmacist consultation and prescription verification requirements.




- Review controls related to controlled substances and evaluate prescription authentication processes.
- Identify risks involving counterfeit medications, fraudulent pharmacy activities, misleading advertising, and regulatory non-compliance.
- Document findings, prepare evidence-based reports, and provide practical recommendations for remediation.
- Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Fraud, Risk, and Client stakeholders to investigate and resolve identified issues.
- Review penetration testing or ethical hacking observations related to pharmaceutical digital platforms and incorporate findings into compliance assessments where applicable.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to Analysts and junior Consultants while supporting quality assurance across engagements.
- Support project planning, workload management, and timely delivery of client engagements.
- Stay current with evolving pharmaceutical regulations, healthcare compliance requirements, and payment card brand programs.

Qualifications
- 5–8 years of experience in pharmaceutical compliance, healthcare risk management, fraud prevention, regulatory compliance, or payment brand compliance.
- Experience leading project teams or mentoring junior professionals in a compliance or consulting environment.
- Robust analytical, investigative, documentation, and report-writing skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
