We are looking for a highly accurate and analytical AR Associate & Collections Associate to join our Accounts Receivable team for US process, specializing in the Cash Receipts and Cash Application process & recovering outstanding accounts . In this role, you will be responsible for accurately posting daily incoming payments from our US clients, reconciling cash receipts to bank statements, and resolving payment discrepancies. The ideal candidate will have strong English communication skills to interact with internal teams and clients for remittance details, along with a keen eye for detail to ensure zero unapplied cash.

Key Responsibilities

- Cash Application: Accurately post daily incoming payments (Wires, ACH, Credit Cards, and Lockbox Checks) to customer accounts in the ERP/accounting system.
- Account Reconciliation (Reco): Perform daily and month-end reconciliation of cash receipts against bank statements and the General Ledger to ensure all funds are accounted for.
- Discrepancy Resolution: Investigate, research, and resolve unapplied cash, short payments, overpayments, and deductions by coordinating with clients and internal departments.
- Communication & Follow-up: Reach out to US-based clients and internal stakeholders (via email and phone) to obtain missing remittance advice or clarify payment breakdowns.
- Cross-Functional Support:



Work closely with the Collections and Billing teams to ensure payment statuses are updated.
- Reporting: Prepare daily and weekly cash receipt logs, unapplied cash reports, and assist in month-end AR closing activities.

Qualifications & Requirements Education & Experience

- Bachelors degree in Commerce (B.Com), Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, specifically in Cash Applications or Cash Receipts in accounts department, or a financial customer support role.

Core Competencies & Skills

- Language Proficiency: Excellent written and verbal English communication skills. Must be able to draft transparent, professional emails to US clients requesting remittance details.
- Shift Flexibility: Must be comfortable working the 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM shift and demonstrate a willingness to adapt to shift timing changes as per business requests.
- Analytical & Reco Skills: Strong numerical ability and a solid understanding of bank reconciliations and basic accounting principles.
- Technical Tools: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, data matching).
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in data entry; a single error in cash posting can affect multiple downstream reports.
