Job Summary:

The Marketing Manager will lead marketing and business development initiatives in the grains and pulses commodity trading sector. The role requires expertise in promoting agri-commodities, building dealer/trader networks, and driving sales through tenders, auctions, and retail partnerships. The ideal candidate will have a strong presence in the grain market and proven success in commodity sales.

Key Responsibilities:

- Commodity Marketing: Design and execute marketing strategies for grains and pulses across India, ensuring brand visibility and competitive positioning.
- Dealer & Trader Engagement: Build, strengthen, and expand relationships with traders, dealers, and distributors in the grain market; establish structured engagement programs to retain and grow partnerships.
- Retail Partnerships: Collaborate with leading retail chains such as Dmart, Vijetha, Reliance Mart, and others to expand commodity sales; negotiate long-term contracts and supply agreements.
- Sales Promotion: Drive sales of pulses and grains through targeted campaigns, dealer incentives, and networking initiatives; monitor sales performance against targets.
- Tender & Auction Participation: Manage and lead participation in government and private tenders/auctions for grains and pulses; ensure compliance with documentation and maximize win rates.
- Market Networking: Leverage existing connections in the grain market to identify recent opportunities; represent the company at trade fairs, exhibitions, and industry forums.
- Business Development: Expand trading operations and enhance profitability through innovative marketing initiatives; identify new geographies and untapped markets.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the marketing team, set performance goals, and ensure delivery of results; foster a culture of accountability and collaboration.
- Operational Oversight: Supervise documentation, filing, and record management for trading activities; ensure accuracy and compliance with internal policies.
- Performance Monitoring: Track KPIs,



prepare detailed reports, and present insights to senior management; recommend corrective actions to achieve targets.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with procurement, finance, and logistics teams to ensure smooth execution of trading operations.

Required Skills:

- Strong knowledge of commodity trading in grains and pulses.

· Proven ability to manage dealer/trader networks across India.

· Experience in sales and marketing within agri-commodities.

· Familiarity with tender processes and auction participation.

· Microsoft Excel – for data analysis, reporting, and tender documentation.

· MS Office – proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook for communication and presentations.

· Data Entry & Record Management – accurate maintenance of trading and sales records.

· Documentation & Filing – organized handling of contracts, tenders, and compliance documents.

· Administrative Coordination – ability to coordinate between departments and external stakeholders.

· Communication Skills – strong verbal and written communication for dealer/trader engagement.

· Time Management – ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced trading environment.

· Organizational Skills – structured approach to managing multiple campaigns and records.

· Teamwork & Independence – ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Eligibility Criteria:

- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Agriculture, or related field (MBA preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in marketing roles, preferably in FMCG, retail, or commodity sectors.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in grains and pulses trading/marketing.
- Proven success in managing campaigns and partnerships with large retail chains.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in managing teams and driving business growth.
