Role: Head Direct Sales

Job location : Head Office, Chennai The Head of Direct Sales will lead the end-to-end sales strategy and execution for the fumed silica product line, focusing on direct customer engagement across industries such as pharmaceuticals, adhesives and sealants, coatings and construction,. This role demands a strong blend of technical knowledge, strategic thinking, and hands-on sales experience in B2B segment.

Direct Sales Strategy & Execution

Develop and implement direct sales strategies to achieve revenue and margin targets.

Identify and prioritize high-potential customer segments and applications.

Drive penetration in key accounts and expand market share.

Customer Relationship Management

Build and nurture long-term relationships with manufacturers, formulators, and end-users.

Conduct regular customer visits and presentations

Resolve customer issues swiftly and ensure high satisfaction and retention.

Market Development & Intelligence

Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to refine sales approach.





Collaborate with marketing and product teams to develop targeted campaigns.

Technical Sales Enablement

Provide application-specific guidance on fumed silica usage

Liaise with technical service teams to support customer trials and product customization.

Train internal sales teams on product features and value propositions.

Team Leadership & Reporting

Lead and mentor a team of regional sales managers.

Set KPIs, monitor performance, and report progress to senior leadership.

Ensure CRM systems and sales processes are effectively utilized.

Qualification : Bachelor's/Master's in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field

MBA/PG in Management will be an added advantage in addition to Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering

Age : Between to 35 - 40 years

15 - 18 Years in B2B sales of specialty chemicals or industrial materials in which 5+ years in a team management role

Exposure to fumed silica applications in pharma, adhesives and sealants, coatings, and construction industry will be preferred.
