Job Overview

We are seeking a Flavor Development Specialist with expertise in creating and optimizing unique, high-quality flavors for cosmetic, skincare, and oral care products. The ideal candidate will combine sensory science, formulation knowledge, and creative flair to develop appealing flavor profiles while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. You will collaborate closely with R&D;, marketing, and production teams to bring innovative products to market that align with HCP Wellness mission to deliver excellence.

Key Responsibilities

✔Develop and optimize flavor formulations for oral care (toothpastes, mouthwashes), skincare, and cosmetic products.

✔Conduct sensory evaluations and flavor stability tests to ensure product performance over shelf life.

✔Work closely with the R&D; and Product Development teams to align flavor profiles with brand positioning and consumer preferences.

✔Research market trends and emerging flavor technologies for innovative product concepts.

✔Ensure regulatory compliance with IFRA, FDA, BIS, and other relevant standards.

✔Collaborate with suppliers to source high-quality raw materials and flavor ingredients.

✔Maintain detailed documentation of trials, testing protocols, and formulation data.

✔Support scale-up processes from lab to production while maintaining flavor integrity.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Hard Skills

✔Strong knowledge of flavor chemistry, sensory analysis, and formulation science.

✔Proficiency in GC-MS, sensory evaluation techniques, and stability testing methods.

✔Understanding of cosmetic and oral care formulation principles.





✔Familiarity with international regulatory guidelines (IFRA, FDA, BIS).

✔Skilled in flavor-matching, masking, and enhancement techniques.

Soft Skills

✔Creative thinking for developing unique and appealing flavor concepts.

✔Attention to detail with high standards for quality and safety.

✔Strong collaboration and communication skills for cross-functional teamwork.

✔Time management and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

✔Problem-solving skills for addressing formulation or sensory challenges.

Education & Certifications

✔BSC, MSC/ Cosmetic Science, Chemistry, Perfumery, or related field.

✔Certifications in Sensory Evaluation or Flavor Technology (preferred).

Preferred Experience

✔3–5 years of hands-on experience in flavor development for cosmetics, skincare, or oral care.

✔Experience working with contract manufacturing or private label brands.

✔Proven track record of launching successful flavored products in the personal care sector.
