Role Description The Director – Cybersecurity Governance is a full-time, in office role based in Abroad. This role is responsible for defining, implementing, and overseeing cybersecurity governance frameworks across the organization, aligning security practices with regulatory and compliance requirements. Key day-to-day tasks include establishing security policies and standards, assessing risk exposure, supervising security controls for applications, networks, and information systems, and coordinating audits or reviews of security posture.

The Director will collaborate with technology, operations, and leadership teams to design secure architectures, manage incident response processes, and promote a culture of security awareness. The role also involves mentoring security staff, tracking emerging threats, and ensuring continuous improvement of cybersecurity maturity.

Qualifications

Strong foundation in Cybersecurity and Information Security, with ability to design and enforce governance frameworks.





Hands-on experience with Application Security, including secure development practices and vulnerability management.

Proficiency in Network Security, covering monitoring, access controls, and protection against internal and external threats.

Expertise in Security Architecture Design, including creating secure, scalable, and compliant system architectures.

Experience in risk management, compliance standards (such as ISO 27001, NIST, or similar), and security policy development.

Proven leadership abilities, including team management, stakeholder communication, and cross-functional collaboration.

Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or equivalent) are highly beneficial.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
