Role Description The Coordinator of Volunteers is a part-time remote role responsible for organizing, supporting, and enhancing volunteer engagement across Cyntexa’s initiatives. This role involves recruiting and onboarding volunteers, scheduling and coordinating assignments, and ensuring volunteers have clear guidance and resources to be effective.

The coordinator will maintain volunteer records, track hours and participation, and regularly communicate updates, expectations, and feedback to volunteers and internal stakeholders. Day-to-day tasks include planning and facilitating volunteer trainings, collaborating with teams to identify volunteer needs, and supporting community outreach activities that align with Cyntexa’s values and projects. The role also includes monitoring volunteer satisfaction, addressing concerns promptly, and contributing ideas to improve the overall volunteer experience and impact.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated skills in Volunteer Management and Volunteer Training to effectively recruit, onboard, support, and retain volunteers.




- Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills to build relationships, provide explicit guidance, and foster an inclusive, collaborative volunteer environment.
- Experience with Community Outreach or engagement efforts, ideally supporting programs or initiatives in a nonprofit or corporate social responsibility context.
- Organizational and time-management abilities to coordinate schedules, manage volunteer data, and handle multiple projects in a remote setting.
- Comfort with digital tools (e.g., spreadsheets, communication platforms, volunteer management systems) and willingness to learn new systems as needed.
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
- Prior experience coordinating volunteers or community programs is preferred; a background in social impact, HR, or project coordination is a plus.
- Relevant education or training in social sciences, management, communications, or a related field is beneficial but not mandatory.
