Buying &

- Merchandise Planning

- Develop seasonal buying plans aligned with sales forecasts and business objectives.

- Prepare assortment plans based on historical sales, market trends, and consumer demand.

- Coordinate with the brand team for seasonal collections, product selection, and order placement.

- Review product performance and recommend repeat orders or phase-outs.

- Ensure timely purchase order execution and follow-up until stock receipt.

Inventory Management

- Monitor inventory levels across warehouses and distribution channels.

- Maintain optimum stock levels while minimizing overstock and stock shortages.

- Analyze stock ageing and recommend liquidation or redistribution strategies.

- Plan replenishment based on sales velocity and demand forecasts.

- Improve inventory turnover and reduce non-moving inventory.

Sales &

- Merchandising Analysis

- Analyze daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.

- Monitor key merchandising KPIs including:

- Sell-through %

- Gross Margin

- Inventory Turnover

- Weeks of Cover (WOC)

- Stock Ageing

- Product Performance

- Identify quick-moving and slow-moving articles and recommend appropriate actions.

- Support pricing, markdown,



and promotional strategies.

Reporting &

- Planning

- Prepare merchandising dashboards and MIS reports.

- Present buying performance, inventory status, and business insights to senior management.

- Forecast future demand using historical sales and market trends.

- Recommend actions to improve sales, margins, and inventory productivity.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Management, Retail Management.

- MBA or PGDM will be an added advantage.

Experience

- 10years of experience in Buying, Merchandising, Merchandise Planning, Category Management, or Inventory Planning.

- Prior experience in branded apparel, fashion retail, or apparel distribution is mandatory.

Technical Skills

- Advanced Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, Power Query ,SQL, Power Bi preferred)
