Job Purpose

To lead and manage the end-to-end panel production operations, ensuring achievement of production targets, quality standards, cost optimization, safety compliance, manpower productivity, and continuous improvement initiatives while supporting business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Production Management

- Lead and oversee daily panel manufacturing operations to ensure production targets are achieved.
- Develop and implement production plans in alignment with customer demand and business requirements.
- Monitor production performance, capacity utilization, and operational efficiency.
- Drive adherence to production schedules while minimizing downtime and bottlenecks.
- Ensure optimal utilization of machinery, equipment, materials, and manpower.

Quality Management

- Ensure products meet all customer specifications and quality standards.
- Drive implementation of quality systems and corrective actions for process deviations.
- Monitor key quality metrics and lead initiatives to reduce defects, rework, and scrap.
- Collaborate with Quality teams to achieve zero-defect manufacturing goals.

Safety, Health & Workplace

- Promote a strong safety culture across the production function.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory, environmental, and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular safety reviews, audits, and risk assessments.
- Drive incident investigation and implementation of preventive actions.

Team Leadership & People Management

- Lead, mentor, and develop production managers, supervisors, and shop-floor employees.
- Build high-performance teams through training, coaching, and capability development.
- Ensure effective manpower planning, deployment, and succession planning.




- Drive employee engagement and foster a culture of accountability and collaboration.

Continuous Improvement

- Lead Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and operational excellence initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for productivity improvement and cost optimization.
- Drive waste reduction and process enhancement projects.
- Implement best manufacturing practices to improve operational performance.

Cost & Resource Management

- Manage production budgets and control manufacturing costs.
- Optimize raw material consumption and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with supply chain teams for uninterrupted production.
- Ensure achievement of productivity and cost-saving targets.

Stakeholder Management

- Coordinate with Planning, Quality, Maintenance, SCM, Engineering, and HR teams.
- Support new product introduction and process improvement initiatives.
- Present production performance reports and improvement plans to senior management.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.
- MBA/PGDM in Operations Management preferred.

Experience

- 8-14 years of manufacturing experience.
- Minimum 58 years in a leadership role managing large-scale production operations.
- Experience in panel manufacturing, electrical panels, solar modules, switchgear, renewable energy, or related industries preferred.
