Job Purpose

To lead the end-to-end manufacturing operations of the Nacelle Cover Unit by ensuring safe, high-quality, cost-effective, and timely production of nacelle covers. The role is responsible for production planning, manpower management, process optimization, quality assurance, resource utilization, and continuous improvement initiatives to meet business objectives and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Manufacturing Operations Management

- Lead the complete production function of nacelle cover manufacturing, including molding, lamination, assembly, finishing, painting, and dispatch readiness.
- Develop and execute production plans aligned with customer demand and business priorities.
- Ensure achievement of daily, weekly, and monthly production targets while maintaining quality and safety standards.
- Monitor manufacturing performance and initiate corrective actions to address productivity losses.
- Drive capacity utilization and optimize production resources to maximize throughput.

Composite Manufacturing Excellence

- Ensure adherence to composite manufacturing processes, work instructions, and technical specifications.
- Improve process efficiency in FRP/composite fabrication, trimming, bonding, painting, and assembly operations.
- Drive process standardization and best practices across production lines.
- Support introduction of new products, process modifications, and technology upgrades.

Quality Management

- Ensure compliance with product quality requirements, drawings, specifications, and customer standards.
- Reduce defects, rework, and customer complaints through robust process control.




- Collaborate with Quality teams for root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Drive First-Time-Right manufacturing and quality improvement initiatives.

Safety, Health & Workplace (EHS)

- Foster a strong safety-first culture across all manufacturing operations.
- Ensure compliance with EHS guidelines, environmental regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Conduct regular safety reviews, audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
- Drive implementation of corrective actions to eliminate unsafe conditions and behaviors.

Productivity & Cost Management

- Improve labour productivity, machine utilization, and manufacturing efficiency.
- Control production costs through waste reduction, scrap minimization, and process optimization.
- Monitor production budgets and ensure achievement of cost targets.
- Drive initiatives to improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).

Maintenance & Asset Management

- Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure machine reliability and availability.
- Minimize downtime through preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
- Support implementation of TPM initiatives for critical equipment.

People Management

- Lead, coach, and develop production managers,



engineers, supervisors, and shop-floor associates.
- Ensure effective manpower planning, competency development, and succession planning.
- Build a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Drive employee engagement and skill enhancement programs.

Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence

- Lead Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, Six Sigma, TPM, and productivity improvement projects.
- Drive waste elimination and cycle time reduction initiatives.
- Implement best practices to enhance delivery performance, quality, and operational efficiency.
- Establish a culture of continuous improvement through structured problem-solving methodologies.

Cross-Functional Coordination

- Collaborate with Planning, SCM, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, EHS, and HR teams for seamless operations.
- Support inventory optimization and material availability for uninterrupted production.
- Participate in strategic manufacturing reviews and business planning exercises.

Educational Qualification

- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Industrial, Polymer, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline.
